Production
The moulding process is an easy and quick process for the client. The heated orthotic blanks are set one at the time on the moulding pad, after which the client steps on them. The therapist will guide the foot toward correct alignment in order to get a correct mould. The client will stand on the orthotics approximately 30–60 seconds, during which the orthotics are shaped.
In order to correct the function of the lower extremities, a wedge is added to the mould. The wedge is made according to the information acquired from the examination. Since the orthotics are handmade, delivery takes approximately two weeks.
The suitability and functionality of the orthotic is confirmed with the client during follow-up appointment. Fine adjustments can be made to the orthotic at this point if necessary.
